The other like yours at work gets scale and The Herbal Husband patiently scrubs the scales off every year! Hope you and your sweetie have great holidays!Lemon Verbena Ladyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07157574973101829448noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6580454170080334274.post-53840024738521608292009-12-18T19:14:45.807-05:002009-12-18T19:14:45.807-05:00That is one beautiful bay tree! (Ours at work is the later.) Never see such a beauty!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12140773202280570336noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6580454170080334274.post-34623820745667394952009-12-18T16:18:11.609-05:002009-12-18T16:18:11.609-05:00Hi FlowerLady,

I love putting them in the water for pasta. It really makes the pasta tastier without even putting sauce on it. Although I can't eat it plain! It would be good with a little butter and cheese. I love this time of year because we do make stews and soups and bay is always in the background. Thanks for your kind words. I'm glad to have found such diverse bloggers and you are one of my favorites! Hope you and your husband have a Merry Christmas and happy and healthy new year. I bought it when it was about 4" tall for $1, many years ago. It is now about 5' tall. I do believe I need to repot it.

I love using fresh leaves. So much more wonderful and flavorful than dried. I'm spoiled now.

I'd love to see more recipes using this wonderful herb.

I just made a pot of beef, vegetable, barley soup/stew with two bay leaves and it was delicious. The recipe also called for paprika and curry, so it was really tasty.

I'm glad to have found your blog.

May you and your DH have a lovely Christmas and a wonderful new year.

FlowerLadyFlowerLady Lorrainehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17678852154334714784noreply@blogger.com
