You are probably getting close to greening up all the way. We are further south and everything that is going to be green is already green. I think I have lost more thymes that any other herb in my herb garden. Don't worry about taking up space, TO. I love your questions. Sounds like that south facing wall is a good one, reflective heat and all, especially in the north country like you are.

Thanks for stopping by ladies.Lemon Verbena Ladyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07157574973101829448noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6580454170080334274.post-656968635659298192011-04-28T22:20:21.576-04:002011-04-28T22:20:21.576-04:00Lovely Angelica! You have given me some new things...Lovely Angelica! You have given me some new things to consider. When we built the potting shed 5 years ago, the little herb garden was located on the south side. Our winters being so brutal with short summers have allowed for thyme, sage & amazingly a few lavender plants to winter over. I love the mix of flowers & quickly added perennial daisies ( Alaska) & they have grown so tall & wide that the herbs are almost covered by mid summer. Thinking they need to be moved out of there
which would also free up space for new herbs & maybe a few less vigorous flowers for color. The summer heat bouncing off that south facing wall has sure helped in growing herbs. Finally, should I be trimming back my thyme plants now? They still dormant.
Sorry to take up so much space with all this :o)Pathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07395890193161794631noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6580454170080334274.post-65380111689365836962011-04-28T19:12:26.033-04:002011-04-28T19:12:26.033-04:00Wow!
