They are Still Enjoying Lavender!
This was a few weeks ago, but I just love the fact that this little bee was happy working the last of the lavender flowers! Going to enjoy the last week of warm temperatures before we have to stay inside. Got more tea bags, more adventures to come!
Hi Zoy, Yes, we probably grow too many herbs inside at times with mixed success! As long as you can keep them in an unheated space that stays above freezing and has a south, east or west exposure, meaning a window, you should be OK. We have scented geraniums, rosemary, lemon verbena, lavender, bay laurel, just to name a few. We have found lavender does pretty well indoors. We keep a couple of containers in a west window in our living room. This one in the picture is in the garage with a south facing window. The garage for the scented geraniums, lavenders, rosemarys is the best place. Try a couple of herbs. Don't get overwhelmed! It is easy to do!

I haven't been too successful in keeping basil indoors. I would make sure it gets a lot of light, air circulation and crossing of the fingers!
Thanks for the bday message. You're so nice. Would you believe that with my great (yes, great) niece we cut out muslin into squares and put a hand full of lavender, pulled together and tied with a gold cord. We made about 200 of those things to give to people to open up and throw at my daughter's wedding next month. Your lavender pic made me think of that.
I have brought my lavender indoors already, I can`t be parted with it and keep it inside during the winter. Have you grow herbs indoors?
