Quick January Thaw in the Herb Garden!

Most of the Snow is Gone for the Moment!
The Salad Burnet is Evergreen!

Maybe I Can Finish That Ornament!
Yikes, Forgot to Weed the Grass Out of the Thyme Bed!
Oh, the lingering Deer Poo!

Feverfew Very Hardy for Us!
Well, as you can see the garden is coming to life if just briefly.  We are supposed to be 60 here again tomorrow, but rainy.  The temperature goes back to the 30's on Monday.  Oh, well, got to enjoy that January thaw ever so briefly this year.  Was out taking some photos as you can see.  Good to let everything get a breathe.  We took some of the containers out, because I needed to do laundry.  It was going to be embarrassing if I didn't.  Hope you had a wonderful day wherever you may be in the world.  Talk to you later.

  1. Oh what a lovely herb garden. I know how that darn grass can be always growing just where you don't want it to and then being spotty where you do want it. Grrrrrr. I had some get into my thyme this last year and oh my was it a job getting it out.

  3. Hi Debbie, I'm always late in getting the grass out of the thyme! It is work but it looks so nice once you are finished! Something to look forward to!

It was too brief, Peggy, but maybe we will get another one shortly.

Thanks ladies for stopping by. xxoo LVL

  4. We are looking the same which is just nuts for northern Wisconsin in January. The big concern is that with bare ground our underground pipes to the holding tanks & also the geo thermal piping from the pond are now vulnerable to freeze up - no insulating blanket of snow for protection. Then there are the poor perennials which might suffer - our temperatures are dropping into the single digits tonight - not a good combination.

  5. We've had a thaw here this week also and our cold returns tomorrow.
So far an extremely mild winter here.

  6. Yeah, TO. You have a bigger problem than us. Hope you get some snow just enough to fix your issues.

Not for us, Carol. We have had winter and it's time for it to go! It won't, but we had such a mild winter last year, that we got spoil!

Thanks for stopping by ladies! xxoo LVL

  7. Dear LVL ~ It is always neat to see and read about your lovely herb gardens no matter what the time of year.

It is very warm and humid down here, but cooler temps are predicted in a week or so and I hope it happens.
