Wild and Wacky Spearmint and Other Thoughts!

A Happy Clump of Spearmint!
You can't ignore this spearmint.  It is filled with bees and it is very happy along the street in our front garden. Probably keeps the dog walkers on the other side of the street.  I would not advice you to grow your mint like this.  More like these.

Plant mint in containers!
I was just outside and to tell you the truth, we still have the ickies and stickies.  It is cooler than 90, but the humidity is a killer for me.  The garden is growing very well.  (Translation is that is an overgrown, wild and crazy mess!)
It Has Gotten Way Out of Control!
Hope you are enjoying your weekend wherever you may be.  Talk to you later.

The humidity is the killer that's for sure.

I got out and mowed part of the property this morning and even though there was plenty of cloud cover I was sweating buckets.

Right now it is thundering and more rain will only help the overgrowth of vines and weeds right along. It is all overwhelming to me right now.

Your mint patch out front is 'fantastic'. How refreshing that would be in iced tea, lemonade, water or jelly.

Have a wonderful week with HH.

Hi FL,

Been delinquent in getting to your neck of the woods or jungle in your case! I think I will just have to get a Bobcat and clear out the front and start again. We are going to need a new roof, gutters and windows and so the ivy is going to go. Yes, the mint would go wonderfully well in all of those drinks and jelly! Thanks for stopping by dear! Take good care. xo

Your garden is fantastic! I Enjoy aromatic mint teas hot or iced.
I used to Add chopped fresh leaves and other herb blends to lamb, rice, salads, or cooked vegetables. Corsican mint is an attractive creeper, good between paving stones and i have them in my rock garden.

Hi Rebecca, I would love to use mint more, but I have GERD and I can't use that much mint in my food or drinks.:( Thanks for stopping by. xo
