The Bay Laurel-20 Plus Years Old! |
A Bay Rum and Allspice Tree |
Well, an update on the first part of the story. We were doing quite well until yesterday and we hit a speed bump in the weather and all the plants that were outside had to go into the garage last night. We came close to freezing last night. Fortunately it looks like all survived most importantly the grapes. Trust me I have grape jelly from last season to spare, but he loves to eat the grapes as much as me making grape jelly. Here are some photos to catch you up on the garden and what has been going on.

This crazy ride we are all on this Spring has no explanation! We had snow on Saturday and in the 20's last night. All the herbs I bought recently are so confused and the wedding flower baskets we are accumulating are on a merry go round not knowing where they will end up next!
Your photos give us northerners hope - really pretty!!! And I can't imagine growing a lemon verbena to the size you have. You have rightfully earned the title of Lemon Verbena Lady!!
I don't know what to say anymore TO. I think we are about to turn the corner, but just when you think it, it goes back down! It has been beautiful and then windy and cold! Thanks for stopping by as always. xo
I'm getting antsy and irritable with this crazy weather!!! We had heavy frost 5 days ago ...I finally started Planting my garden yesterday hoping that the warm weather is really here to stay.
Well, Carol, I think our weather has turned warm. We have had ups and downs for weeks now. Thanks for stopping by. xo Nancy
