I have heard that different plants respond differently to colored mulch. A farm in Florida used red plastic mulch to improve the performance of their strawberries. They did better with red than with the black plastic mulch.
It also works for tomatoes as well. We will see how the colored plastic works with the seeds. Will have an update!
