The Plant Whisperer!
The tall yellow flowers in the background of this photo are native sunflowers. They can be aggressive and take over a space. We always use the sticks and strings to conquer this giant. The Herbal Husband and I tackled the job today. At one point, The Herbal Husband was muttering to himself. I asked what was wrong and he said he thought he had trained the stems to stand upright so that we could put the string around them easily and they would listen! I can't make this stuff up! I thought he is thinking he is the plant whisperer! Well, hope you had a great day. I had to mow the yard. So I'm fading fast. Will talk to you later.

:) Plant Whisperer :) I love it!!! I've been propping up my sunflowers this week too...maybe he needs to talk to mine too :0
I've tried to convince myself I too am a "plant whisperer" ... always fails. LOL
I'll send him your way, Carol! The only problem is he would probably get lost! Not a good sense of direction! LOL!
Sorry to hear it ONG. Maybe you should be the perennial plant whisperer! Thanks for stopping by you two!
Now that is too funny! Come to think of it, don't think I have ever gotten mad at my plants...shed a tear at their demise but never mad.
Thank you for stopping by earlier - and your post tonight gave me a much needed smile.
He's one of a kind, TO. Hope you are feeling better soon!
My plants are so out of control that whispering wouldn't work. Only shouting. And I don't think that will work either. Some of my weeds are taller than I am! Ugh!
Oh, belated Happy Birthday to you! It looks like it was a wonderful day.
I have one neighbor who has taken to a spot of gardening, has a small crop of sunflowers that are starting to bloom. They are the best part of summer.
Oh, it is the year for weeds, Penny. I was running them down with the lawn mower yesterday!
Thanks TG. It was. Sunflowers are always a bright spot in the garden. I love them.
Thanks you two for stopping by!
