Favorite Visitors This Time of Year!
You need to click on these photos to get the up close and personal view of the goldfinches. They are really busy on the volunteer sunflowers. When we pull the car down the driveway, some of them don't move a feather! It is pretty interesting!
There were a couple of male goldfinches on this day. They are so much fun to watch!
Hope you had a great day wherever you may be! Have to make more jelly tomorrow!

Goldfinch are such daring little birds. In the winter when I go out to fill the feeders some of them just set there and watch knowing I giving them their next meal.
I would love to attract some goldfinches to my garden, but I've not had any luck. I do have a couple of sunflowers about to bloom, though - maybe there's hope yet.
The birds are very vocal when they know we are around and working in the garden and it is close to their meal time! Funny birds!
I bet Ginny you will have some finches come to visit when your sunflowers are ready! Keeping my fingers crossed for you!
Thanks for stopping by ladies!
We love these little fellows -- but alas, ours are here only in winter when they are olive drab rather than bright yellow! BTW, we've named ours -- Leonardo De Finche!!!
You're lucky to have them as summer visitors when they are at their prettiest!
Too cute, Martha! Glad you still have them in winter! Hope you are better! Thanks for stopping by!
They are such beautiful little birds, and we have them around here now and then. We have had monarchs here for the first time in I don't know when! I am so glad to see them back!
